Ashley Biden defends father, slams ‘fake news for profit’ over health claims

Ashley Biden, daughter of President Joe Biden, issued a strongly worded public defense of her father amid intensifying speculation about his cognitive health and allegations of misconduct involving the use of an auto-pen for official government documents.

The 42-year-old made her comments in a personal Instagram post on Sunday, sharing a family photo at the beach alongside a lengthy caption. Her message comes as media reports and political critics raise questions about the president’s recent health disclosures and behind-the-scenes executive decisions.

“The ONLY cover-up in this family is a beach cover-up,” Ashley wrote, referring to the image of her and her parents by the water. “Dad gave his ALL to this country—and still does.”

Her statement follows reports that the president had been diagnosed with prostate cancer, as well as claims from a forthcoming book by CNN anchor Jake Tapper that detail concerns among insiders about the president’s mental sharpness. Additional controversy has been fueled by whistleblower allegations that executive actions may have been signed on Biden’s behalf without his direct involvement.

Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) recently claimed on national television that a source described Biden as being at times disoriented inside the White House residence. The Department of Justice has since confirmed an active investigation into the use of the president’s signature on sensitive legal documents, including pardons and executive orders.

Ashley Biden, however, rejected these narratives entirely.

“He NEVER gave up on you,” she wrote in the post. “The man has led with integrity and by example. He aged, yes—but he never stopped working harder than anyone else I know.”

She also criticized the news coverage surrounding her father’s health, accusing certain outlets of exploiting the situation for ratings and political gain.

“The noise is so damn disrespectful and untrue,” she wrote. “It’s static—drummed up by those who make money off of confusion, fear, and falsehoods.”

The Justice Department’s probe reportedly includes questions about several last-minute pardons and sentence commutations issued before the transfer of power in January 2025. Critics argue that these decisions may have been made without the president’s full awareness.

Ashley concluded her message with a note of gratitude and optimism.

“We chose hope—and we still do. That’s what Dad taught us. And all your support continues to give him hope too. For healing, for America, and for unity.”
