General Flynn Sounds Alarm on ‘Third Arc’ Crisis: ‘We Could Lose This Country’
General Michael Flynn, former National Security Advisor under President Donald Trump, delivered a sobering warning during a recent speech, declaring that the United States is entering what he calls the “third arc” of its history—a pivotal period that could determine whether the nation survives as we know it.
Flynn, a decorated military leader with more than 30 years of service in intelligence and defense, compared today’s challenges to America’s most perilous times: the Revolutionary War and the Civil War.
“This period of time that we are in—I call it the third arc of U.S. history,” Flynn stated. “And we could lose this country, just like the American Revolution, just like the Civil War.”
Flynn’s Dire Assessment
According to Flynn, the current political and cultural climate represents an existential threat to the republic. He warned that radical ideologies—ranging from communism and Marxism to Islamism and fascism—are taking root in American society and government institutions.
Citing historian Victor Davis Hanson, Flynn described this as a “counter-revolutionary movement” that seeks to dismantle the foundational principles of the United States.
A Battle for New York—and Beyond
Flynn pointed to the upcoming New York City mayoral race as a critical sign of where the country is headed.
“We’re about to see a radical Islamist become the mayor of New York City. That is a bellwether,” Flynn cautioned.
He vowed to fight “tooth and nail” against what he views as extremist influences in America’s largest city.
Deep State Infiltration
Flynn also sounded the alarm about what he calls the “deep state”—a network of entrenched bureaucrats and political operatives that he believes has been undermining American democracy for decades.
“I fought overseas for so many years, and I come back home only to find the greatest threat I was going to face is right here at home,” Flynn said. “It is an infiltration that’s been going on for a long, long time.”
According to Flynn, this long-term strategy was designed to consolidate power under progressive leadership:
“The plan was eight years of Obama, eight years of Hillary Clinton, and there would be no such thing as the Gateway Pundit,” he claimed, referencing conservative media outlets he praised for resisting mainstream narratives.
A Call to Action for Citizens
Flynn emphasized that defending the country cannot be left solely to elected officials—or even to President Trump.
“We have a president of the United States that’s in there doing his damnedest to stop a couple of wars overseas, close our border, protect our citizens, stop this killing by fentanyl on our streets,” Flynn said. “But it doesn’t take just him.”
He urged Americans to recognize their civic duty:
“Everybody says, ‘Thank you for your service.’ And I say, ‘How are you serving this country now?’ Because it’s your responsibility.”
Flynn warned that too many citizens assume Trump or other leaders can solve every crisis. Instead, he said, “What are you doing about it?”
Why Flynn’s Warning Matters
The former general’s comments come amid growing political polarization, rising crime rates, and concerns about foreign influence on American politics. His message resonates with millions who believe the country is at a breaking point—and who see civic engagement as the only way to restore stability.
Flynn’s warning is clear: America is in a fight for its survival, and every citizen has a role to play in ensuring the nation remains free and strong.
