Resurfaced Epstein video raises questions about ties to Donald Trump amid ongoing file revelations

NOTE: VIDEO INSIDE THE ARTICLE.

A resurfaced video of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein discussing former friend and now-President Donald Trump is reigniting scrutiny over their past relationship, as the saga surrounding Epstein’s files continues to unfold.

The clip, originally recorded in 2010 during a deposition, shows Epstein refusing to answer a pointed question about whether he and Trump had ever socialized in the company of females under the age of 18. Instead of responding, Epstein invoked his Fifth, Sixth, and 14th Amendment rights—indicating potential legal exposure and fueling speculation over what he may have been trying to avoid disclosing.

This deposition footage is now circulating again, particularly among critics and investigative journalists, as questions persist about how deeply Trump was connected to Epstein and what role, if any, he played in the convicted sex offender’s shadowy social world.

Jeffrey Epstein, who died in a Manhattan jail cell in 2019 in what was officially ruled a suicide, remains a source of enduring controversy. His death cut short a federal trial that many hoped would expose the full scope of his crimes and his associations with wealthy, powerful individuals. Among the names often speculated to be in his “client list” or social circle is Donald Trump—a connection that has followed the President for years.

The relationship between Epstein and Trump has long been the subject of public interest. The two were well-known figures in New York’s elite social scene during the 1990s and early 2000s. In a 2002 interview with New York Magazine, Trump referred to Epstein as a “terrific guy,” adding, “He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.”

While that quote has been widely circulated, Trump has since tried to distance himself from Epstein, especially following the latter’s arrest and the media frenzy surrounding the unsealed court documents. In 2019, Trump claimed that he was “not a fan” of Epstein and said he hadn’t spoken with him in years. He has also attempted to discredit photographic evidence of their encounters by labeling it “fake news.”

Despite these efforts to separate himself from the scandal, a Wall Street Journal report from earlier this year stated that Trump was informed in May that his name appeared multiple times in the Epstein files. The implications of these references are not yet fully known, but they have added fuel to an already combustible topic.

Now, the resurfaced 2010 deposition video is renewing interest in the extent of Trump’s interactions with Epstein. In the video, Epstein is asked whether he had a personal relationship with Trump. He responds with a vague, “What do you mean by personal?”—before acknowledging that he had indeed socialized with Trump.

However, when asked if they had socialized “in the presence of females under the age of 18,” Epstein refused to answer, citing multiple constitutional rights, most notably the Fifth Amendment, which allows an individual to remain silent if their answer may incriminate them.

This moment—caught clearly on video—has reignited conspiracy theories and public concern, especially as it relates to high-profile names that remain shrouded in mystery within the broader Epstein investigation. For many, Epstein’s unwillingness to answer suggests a deeper connection or knowledge that remains hidden.

In other deposition tapes, first reported by The Daily Beast, Epstein is quoted describing himself as Trump’s “closest friend for 10 years,” a claim the President has firmly denied. Trump has also dismissed these reports as “false smears” aimed at discrediting him politically.

The White House has not issued a formal statement in response to the video’s resurgence.

As more of Epstein’s connections come to light, the resurfacing of this video serves as a stark reminder of the unanswered questions that linger around one of the most disturbing criminal networks in recent memory—and the high-profile figures who crossed paths with it.
