Tom Homan Slams Democrats for Opposing ICE Operation That Rescued Exploited Children
Former ICE Director Tom Homan is blasting Democrats and mainstream media outlets for resisting enforcement operations that he says save the lives of trafficked children and remove public safety threats from American communities.
Appearing on Fox News with Griff Jenkins, Homan expressed outrage over the backlash following a recent ICE raid on a marijuana grow operation where 10 underage children were found working illegally — eight of whom were unaccompanied minors trafficked across the southern border.
Jenkins opened by highlighting the horrifying conditions behind the operation and the political reaction.
“There were 10 juveniles that were legally brought across the border… Now we know that eight of them were working illegally in a marijuana farm,” Jenkins said. “And yet, there is violent resistance to that. Does that upset you?”
“It certainly upsets me,” Homan responded. “The work the men and women of ICE are doing is incredible. We’re looking for over 300,000 missing children — we’ve already found 10,000. Have you heard that anywhere? No. The media is simply not covering it.”
Homan, who served under President Trump, said the issue should rise above party lines.
“This should be a nonpartisan issue — rescuing children, arresting public safety threats. But they’re not on board.”
He directly blamed anti-Trump partisanship for the refusal to support enforcement efforts.
“The Democrats don’t want President Trump to be successful,” he said. “Every illegal alien public safety threat we arrest makes this country safer. Every national security threat we deport makes us safer.”
“And we’re rescuing thousands of children. The lives saved every day by ICE and Border Patrol are in the hundreds.”
He concluded with a fiery shot across the bow of political opponents:
“They hate President Trump more than they love their community. That’s the only explanation. Why else wouldn’t they support saving kids and deporting dangerous criminals?”
The ICE-led operation has reignited debates around immigration, child trafficking, and the partisan lens through which border enforcement is viewed.
Homan’s comments add fuel to a growing fire as the Trump administration doubles down on its border agenda — emphasizing human trafficking prevention, national security, and mass deportation of criminal aliens.
“This isn’t about politics. It’s about safety. And it’s about protecting children.”
