WASHINGTON, D.C. — A U.S. State Department contractor has been terminated after explosive undercover footage revealed him advising illegal immigrants on how to avoid deportation and voicing extreme anti-American sentiments. The video, released by the O’Keefe Media Group, has ignited outrage and prompted swift action from federal officials.
The contractor, identified as Arslan Akhtar, worked as a visa specialist before being let go following the viral video’s release. In the recording, Akhtar is heard encouraging undocumented immigrants—primarily of Hispanic descent—to “never admit the truth” when interacting with law enforcement.
“If you want a loophole, keep your mouth shut,” he says. “Don’t talk to the police. Don’t tell them what you did. Just maintain your innocence no matter what.”
The footage also captures Akhtar expressing open hatred for multiple ethnic groups, including Yemeni nationals and Indian applicants, referring to them as “conniving” and “awful.” At one point, he voices support for violence against Elon Musk, saying he wants to see him “lynched in the street.”
But perhaps most shocking are his remarks about white Americans, whom he describes as inherently oppressive. “I dismiss the hell out of them,” he states. “I don’t care about them. I’m not going to allow this culture of dominance anymore.”
In response, a spokesperson for the State Department confirmed that Akhtar has been removed from his position and announced a broader initiative to overhaul internal contractor screening procedures.
“The contractor is no longer employed by the U.S. State Department,” the spokesperson said. “We are committed to protecting the integrity of our immigration system and rooting out individuals who do not reflect the values of this institution.”
On social media platform X, the State Department followed up with a bold statement:
“This is just the beginning. If you hold radical, anti-American views and work within our system—we will find you.”
The video has reignited debate over federal hiring practices, immigration enforcement, and ideological infiltration in government agencies. Lawmakers and political commentators are already calling for a broader investigation into how individuals with extremist views end up in sensitive government roles.
As the footage continues to circulate online, pressure is mounting for other agencies to conduct internal audits of their staff and contractors. The fallout from this scandal is just beginning—and it’s raising serious questions about who’s really pulling the levers inside America’s immigration system.
