Nurse, 34, ‘told stepson, 15, she was “horny” and raped him’…then her lineman husband walked in on them

A Florida nurse allegedly made inappropriate advances toward her 15-year-old stepson before sexually assaulting him—an act that was only interrupted when her husband, a utility lineman, unexpectedly arrived home, according to reports.

Alexis Von Yates, 34, was taken into custody last year and faces charges of sexual battery involving a victim aged 12 to 15, stemming from an incident in July 2024, court documents reveal.

Last week, the State of Florida revoked her nursing license, as reported by Law & Crime.

An arrest affidavit states that her husband, Frank—the alleged victim’s father—discovered the assault after returning from a late shift.

The teen later spoke with investigators in August, explaining that he had been visiting his father in Florida for a summer vacation.

According to the minor, he and Von Yates had been vaping cannabis oil and playing video games before watching a movie together, after which the encounter turned sexual.

The affidavit claims Von Yates began discussing her sexual desires, mentioning that she hadn’t had intercourse in two weeks due to her menstrual cycle.

The boy told authorities that she had been making suggestive comments about her urges throughout the week leading up to the alleged assault.

The teen stated that Yates had been making sexually charged remarks for days prior to the incident.

He recounted how they began kissing, with Yates allegedly whispering, “I wish you were 18—you’re not old enough.”

Authorities say Yates then removed her underwear and engaged in unprotected oral sex and intercourse with the minor.

The affidavit notes that the two heard noises in the garage but continued until the boy’s father entered the room.

The teen claimed he fled to the bathroom, pulling up his pants as his father walked in.

Afterward, his father reportedly took him to his grandparents’ house, allegedly telling him he had “ruined his life.”

The boy also told investigators that his father had purchased beer on the way and was driving under the influence.

Regarding Yates’ earlier remarks, the teen recalled her saying at a gym, “I bet everyone thinks you’re my little boy toy.”

In another instance, she allegedly made sexual gestures with whipped cream, licking it off her tongue while teasing him.

The boy compared the act to scenes from adult films he had seen, adding that she teased, “Oh, you like that?”

The next day, Yates reportedly called him and expressed regret that her husband had caught them.

She also allegedly commented on his physique and rated his performance as “seven out of ten.”

When the boy’s father failed to report the incident, another family member eventually alerted law enforcement.

Yates was arrested in November on charges of sexually battering a minor, per Ocala News.

The arrest report states that several relatives had tried to dissuade the teen from speaking to police.

During a December court appearance, Yates entered a not-guilty plea. Reports indicate her trial has been postponed.

The ruling on her nursing license suspension stated: “Nurses hold a position of trust and must exhibit sound judgment and moral integrity. Ms. Yates’ involvement with a minor demonstrates a severe lapse in both, rendering her unfit to practice nursing.”
